In 2008, CorgiAid was chosen the very best breed rescue
fundraising program by Pedigree, one of the Westminster Dog Show sponsors. The company wanted to give CorgiAid an award,
but they also wanted to make a video of how CorgiAid works and how it raises
money to help homeless dogs. They wanted to visit
“CorgiAid's office" which does not exist!

All the CorgiAid staff are volunteers. Everybody works from home
and are spread out all over the country. Then they wanted to make a video of
how CorgiAid raises money. But CorgiAid funds are raised by hundreds and
hundreds of people called CorgiAid Angels who are also all over the
country.
The CorgiAid staff thought about what the cameramen could film. They said it was a shame no picnics were being held in January. Susie in Tennessee said, "It would take a nut to put on a picnic in January. It would be a Polar Bear Picnic."
There were only 17 days from the time they announced the
award to when the film crew arrived but even with film-making, CorgiAid comes
through. This video is Susie’s account
of The CorgiAid Polar Bear Picnic.
